Kenti Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
This policy explains what data Kenti handles, where it goes, how long it's kept and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible for your data: Kenti is developed and operated by an independent developer based in Argentina, who acts as the data controller. Contact: aleindiedev@gmail.com.
What Kenti is
Kenti suggests what to reply in a dating conversation. You share a screenshot or paste text, and Kenti writes replies in your own style and language. It can also read whether the other person seems interested and help you polish a message you wrote yourself.
The short version
- There are no user accounts. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Screenshots and chats you share are processed to generate replies and then discarded. They're never stored on our server.
- Your history and your profile are stored only on your phone, and you can delete them at any time.
- Our server keeps only an anonymous ID, your subscription status and usage metadata, for up to 90 days.
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and we don't sell your data.
What we never store
- Screenshots. They're kept in memory, on your phone and on our server, only for as long as it takes to generate a reply. Then they're discarded. We never save them on any server.
- Your conversations. The text of your chats is never stored on our server.
Data stored only on your phone
This data stays on your device. It only leaves your phone as part of a request to generate replies (see "Data sent to generate replies"), and our server never stores it.
- History: the extracted conversation text (including new screenshots you add to a saved chat), the generated replies, the "Do they like me?" analysis and any context you add to that conversation (for example, "we met at a concert"). You can turn history off or delete all of it from Settings → Privacy.
- Your profile from the onboarding: writing style, what you're looking for, which chat apps you use and, optionally, how we should refer to you (grammatical gender). You can edit it in Settings.
- "About you" (optional, up to 200 characters, in Settings → Your profile): facts you choose to share so replies don't make things up about you. Please don't include sensitive information such as health, religion, sexual orientation or your address.
- Settings and preferences, including whether you accepted the AI consent.
Your phone's operating system encrypts this data at rest. If you uninstall Kenti, it's deleted along with the app.
Data sent to generate replies
When you ask for replies, Kenti sends the following to our server over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and our server forwards it to OpenAI:
- the screenshot or text you chose,
- your profile, "About you" and any context you added to that conversation,
- the draft you asked to polish, if any.
Before the first request, Kenti asks for your explicit consent and tells you that OpenAI processes this data. Nothing is sent until you accept. You can review that consent in Settings → Privacy.
Data stored on our server
Our server stores no screenshots and no conversations. It stores only:
| Data | Purpose | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|
Anonymous user ID (app_user_id, created by RevenueCat) |
Link your subscription to your requests without knowing who you are | While your subscription is active, plus 90 days |
| Subscription status (active or not, plan, trial or paid, store, expiry date) | Decide whether you have access | Same as above |
| Daily usage counters (number of actions, tokens, cost) | Apply fair-use limits and control costs | 90 days |
| Record of each AI call (endpoint, step, model, tokens, cost, latency, result status) | Control cost and quality. Never includes the content of your request. | 90 days |
| Verified install record (platform, key identifier and public key issued by App Attest or Play Integrity, first and last use) | Make sure requests come from a genuine copy of Kenti and prevent abuse | 90 days after last use |
| Reported replies (only the AI-generated reply you reported, the reason and the language, never your chat) | Review reports and improve moderation | 90 days |
Our server logs contain only technical metadata: request ID, endpoint, latency, tokens, model and error code. They never contain the request body, the prompt or the conversation. An automatic job deletes expired data every day.
Who we share data with
We only share data with service providers that help us run Kenti, and only what each one needs:
- OpenAI (United States) processes the screenshot or text and the context described above to generate replies and to moderate content. We send it with no identifier of yours and ask OpenAI not to store it. Under OpenAI's API policy, this data isn't used to train their models, but it may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
- RevenueCat (United States) manages subscriptions. It creates the anonymous user ID and tells our server your subscription status. It doesn't receive your screenshots or conversations.
- Apple and Google process your subscription payment. We never see your payment details. They also verify, through App Attest (iOS) and Play Integrity (Android), that a request comes from a genuine install of Kenti. If you choose to rate the app, the rating prompt is handled by Apple or Google.
- DigitalOcean (United States) hosts our server and its database.
We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose data if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order.
What Kenti doesn't do
- No ads.
- No cross-app tracking and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- No access to your contacts, location, camera or microphone. Screenshots are chosen by you through the system photo picker or shared from another app.
Kenti may show local notifications, such as a reminder before your free trial ends. They're scheduled on your phone and don't send any data to us.
International transfers
Our server and all of our providers are located in the United States. If you use Kenti from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Brazil or another country, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on our providers' contractual safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable, and we keep the data we transfer to the minimum needed to provide the service.
Legal bases (EEA, UK and Brazil)
- Performance of a contract: to generate replies, manage your subscription and apply usage limits.
- Consent: to send your screenshots and text to OpenAI. You give it before the first request and can withdraw it at any time by not using the AI features and deleting your history.
- Legitimate interests: to prevent fraud and abuse (install verification and reports), keep the service secure and control costs.
Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS) between your phone, our server and our providers. Our server only accepts requests from verified installs of Kenti, access to the database is restricted, and we keep as little data as possible for as short a time as possible. No system is completely secure, but if a breach affects your data we'll act and notify you as the law requires.
Age requirement
Kenti is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to use it. We don't knowingly process data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used Kenti, write to aleindiedev@gmail.com and we'll delete the associated data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU, the LGPD in Brazil, Argentina's Personal Data Protection Law No. 25,326 or U.S. state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw your consent.
- Data on your phone: delete it at any time from Settings → Privacy, or by uninstalling the app.
- Data on our server: since there are no accounts, we can't identify you by name or email. Write to aleindiedev@gmail.com and include the Support ID shown in Settings → Privacy. We'll reply within 30 days.
- Subscription: cancel it from your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Uninstalling the app doesn't cancel it.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Argentina, that's the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or our providers change. We'll publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we'll say so clearly at the top of this page.
